Rooted in intuition, collaboration, and understated elegance, Kristin Try brings a discerning eye and a calm presence to every project. As the founder and principal designer of Kristin Try Interiors, she leads full-service renovations, remodels, and interiors that feel collected, layered, and deeply personal.
Known for her thoughtful approach and effortless problem-solving, Kristin serves as a trusted partner to clients, architects, and builders alike—guiding entire homes from concept to completion. Her work is grounded in the belief that beauty should be present in every corner of the home, and that even the most unexpected architectural challenge can become a defining design moment.
Based in Alexandria’s Mount Vernon area, Kristin draws daily inspiration from her own home life with her husband and three daughters. On the weekends, you’ll find her balancing the bustle of family life with the art of living well: fresh flowers, a well-set table, and a home that feels as warm as it looks.

A native of Alexandria, Laura brings a timeless, approachable design style inspired by the Potomac River and the charm of old homes. With a specialty in kitchen and bath design, she creates spaces that are both elegant and effortless. Laura previously worked at Harry Braswell Inc., a respected local design-build firm, where she developed a deep understanding of construction, materiality, and the importance of thoughtful planning. Her experience gives her a holistic approach to interiors—grounded in function, flow, and refined livability.

Traci brings a passion for design, a love for blending old with new, and a natural ability to make clients feel right at home. A longtime fan of Red Barn Mercantile and vintage furnishings, she joined Kristin Try Interiors after years of hands-on experience in design retail and procurement. From vendor coordination to project logistics, she ensures everything runs smoothly—always with warmth, grace, and attention to detail.
